Aquarius Horoscope
The Water Bearer
21 January to 20 February

Aquarius is the sign of the waterbearer.
It spans the period from approximately
January 21st to
February 20th each year (dates may vary slightly between years).
It is associated with the traditional element of Air, and
is classified by astrologers as having positive polarity.
People born under the sign of Aquarius are often both generous and kind,
and usually tolerant of other people.
Aquarians are frequently humanitarians, and desirous of means to make the world a better place.
Aquarians tend to be intelligent, inventive, and have numerous original ideas, and are often not shy about expressing them, even, at times,
others may not be ready to listen!
They love freedom, and this combined with their inventive and original nature,
can sometimes make them be somewhat eccentric and idiosyncratic, even quirky.
Eccentricity and quirkiness is not however appreciated by everyone,
and it is not unknown for others to see Aquarians as contrary and unpredictable.
The most compatible with Aquarius people are
those who appreciate their generous nature, and share their beliefs. Aquarians tend to be
happiest with people who will share their passion for creating a better world, and who will
be prepared to explore and grow with them. A person who is warm-hearted, open-minded, understanding
and helpful, would be ideal.
- According to many astrologers, Aquarians tend to be
most compatible
with other people born under Air sign, namely
Gemini and
Libra, as well as other Aquarians.
- According to many astrologers, Aquarians tend to be
least compatible
with
Leo,
Scorpio and
Taurus.
However it should be noted that
Leo shares the attribute of positive polarity
with Aquarius, and so those astrologers which stress the importance
of polarity, would tend to look for, and expect to find,
compatibilities with between
Leo and Aquarius, rather than incompatibilties.
Lastly, it is also worth noting
that just as there are different zodiacal sun signs within each individual
year, so too are the great eras of human history divided into (approximately) 2,000 year segments of what is known as the
"Great Year".
We are now, as the famous song says, entering the Age of Aquarius.
- The previous age that we are now leaving, was the Age of Pisces.
This was a time of rapid and fluid change, as well as
being the period during which Christianity was founded
(interestingly, the fish is both the symbol of Pisces and of early
Christianity).
- The new age that we are now entering is the Age of Aquarius,
and should hopefully be characterised by some of the positive and
altruistic traits that Aquarian people are known for.
